Installation of vehicle and central equipment
Thorcom is able to provide a complete range of installation services, either using its own technicians or selected contractors, or in conjunction with a delivery partner. Our approach allows us to offer the correct level of service, at the required scale, at the right location and at the right time.
Vehicle installation
Thorcom has experience in installation and de-installation of everything from entry level tracking units to complex mobile data systems in land, sea and air transport vehicles for the emergency services, public utilities and public transport sectors.
We install equipment to industry standards such as FCS1362:2016 and Home Office VIDG and PITO5.
Thorcom installers carry the pre-requisite security clearances needed to work in the Police sector.
Sometimes, end user organisations have their own fleet installation technicians which they wish to use. Thorcom is happy to provide training and documentation for our customers’ own fleet installation and maintenance teams.
Central server and equipment installation
Thorcom’s is also experienced in the pre-build, test, installation and commissioning of Central infrastructure, including all aspects of server room and rack design, power management, cooling, cable installation and system configuration.
We are also able to help with the specification and integration of third party telecommunications services, and in particular the installation and commissioning of secure support links for provision of ongoing system support to be provided by Thorcom.
